Area Problem #1

One square equals 1 square unit.

What is the area of the rectangle? Please write all the steps to finding area. Don't forget your labels.

  4. First you count the whole square units.There are 20 whole square units.There are 4 half square units. Add to of the half square units.That equals 1 square unit. Add the other 2 together.That equals 1 square unit.Add the 2 to 20 and that equals 22 square units.
